Ekaterina Apostolova joined the Public Policy Center in 2003 as an undergraduate research assistant and worked on several projects, including By the People and nebhands.

Ekaterina is originally from Bulgaria and is an international student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is pursuing a bachelor degree in Political Science and International Studies. She is involved with many campus organizations and currently serves as the Vice-President of the International Student Organization. She has also received several scholarships and awards. Ekaterina is in the University of Nebraska Honors Program and is a UCARE Scholar, researching ethnic conflict management. The primary aim of this project is to examine how policy makers can help manage conflicts in different nations, especially the Former Yugoslavia.
