Robyn Henderson joined the PPC in September 2003, as a project manager for the Community Services Initiative (CSI), a community-wide human services planning project for Lincoln/Lancaster County. She also assisted with the Nebraska Information and Referral project.

Prior to joining the PPC, she served as Vice President of Program Services for the National Rural Health Association, headquartered in Kansas City, MO. Before moving back to the Midwest, Ms. Henderson worked in a variety of policy positions in Washington, D.C., including six years as Legislative Aide to U.S. Senator Jim Exon (D-NE, retired) for health, education and human service issues. She also worked for the America Lung Association, National Health Policy Forum and the National Rural Electric Cooperatives Association. She also has state level policy experience serving as Aide to the Speaker of the Nebraska Legislature.

Ms. Henderson holds master’s degree in health policy and management from Johns Hopkins Univeristy and a bachelor’s degree in History and Policy Science from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Her areas of expertise are: coalitions and partnership development, rural health care, public policy processes, human services, and rural policy. Robyn is currently the executive director of the Southeast Nebraska Area Health Education Center.
