Lower
Platte River Policy Analysis
The Public Policy Center assisted the University
of Nebraska-Lincoln Department
of Community and Regional Planning in assembling an interdisciplinary
team of faculty from throughout the University of Nebraska system
to submit a proposal to conduct a regional public policy analysis
of Lower Platte River Corridor counties and communities in February
1999.
The team was selected in March 1999, by the Lower
Platte River Corridor Alliance, to carry out the policy analysis.
The study, Public Policy Study for the Lower Platte River Corridor
Region, explored the extent and effectiveness of existing federal,
state, and local regulations and programs to protect and restore
the natural resources of the Lower Platte River Corridor area.
