Public
Trust & Confidence in the Courts
The Public Policy Center, along with SRL
(Scientific Resources for the Law) the UNL
Law/Psychology Program, and the Survey Research Center at IUPUI , worked under the auspices of the
National Center for State Courts
on developing a national survey undertaken in early 1999. The survey,
funded by the Hearst Corporation,
attempted to discover what the American public thinks about
the performance of state and local courts and identify different
levels of confidence in and satisfaction with the courts.
